About the Film

Bret Bocock was an attorney, a US rowing champion, and a heavy cell phone user. When he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, he began investigating what he suspected was a link between his cell phone use and his illness. What he uncovered was deeply troubling: evidence that cell phone companies had prior knowledge of the health risks their devices posed — and chose to conceal it from the public.

This documentary follows Bret’s investigation and his fight to bring that evidence to light. It is a story about corporate concealment, personal courage, and the urgent question of what the technology in our pockets may be doing to our health.

Bret Bocock died from his brain tumor in 2015, shortly after this documentary was filmed. His story, and the questions he raised, remain as urgent as ever.
